I absolutely hate Comcast . Much like a few other reviewers on here, I wanted to downsize and remove cable and only keep Internet. The sucky part about this is we were forced to keep Comcast because it was the only provider around our area/in our complex. After being on the phone for TWO HOURS I realized we were stuck with crappy service at a ridiculously high price. Prior to moving in to our new apartment, we had Comcast at our old residence. While living there, I had spoken with Comcast at least 3 times. Every time we spoke they mentioned this "extra box" we had in our house, and EVERY TIME I told them we never ordered more than the one box we had in our living room but was never assured it would be removed from our bill. After moving in here at the end of last month (June), I had to schedule a technician to come out and fix our service. Lucky for us, we got to wait TWO WEEKS before someone was available. This technician, which might I add was the most amazing technician I've ever met through Comcast, mentioned the second mystery box YET AGAIN. After telling him I'd told Comcast multiple times WE DO NOT HAVE THIS BOX, we got to talking. He told me that two scenarios could have happened: One, someone that lived with us packed up this box and I'm being charged, which I told him wasn't a possibility because we only ever ordered one box. The other, which he told me happens more than you think, was that whoever came to our old house to set everything up activated another box and has been stealing cable from us for over a year. WHICH EXPLAINS WHY THEY THINK WE HAVE TWO BOXES WHEN I'VE TOLD THEM WE DON'T.

Moral of the story- Comcast/Comcast Customer Service sucks. They gave me ZERO clarity about why my bill was SO high, and even when I told them I only have certain equipment, they didn't care to fix it and continue to charge me for it/help thieves steal cable/money from me. Y'all pay close attention to your bills; you never know who you're providing free cable for.

Hopefully Comcast Corporate does a better job of solving this problem.
